ClawBox runs open-source AI models (Llama 3.1 8B, Mistral 7B, Whisper, Kokoro TTS) entirely on its 67 TOPS NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano GPU. There is no connection to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any cloud provider required. All AI inference happens on the device stored in your home. You choose what, if anything, connects to the internet.

For everyday tasks — answering questions, writing, coding, summarizing, voice commands — local models on ClawBox perform excellently. Llama 3.1 8B scores close to GPT-3.5 on most benchmarks. For cutting-edge reasoning on very complex tasks, frontier cloud models (GPT-4, Claude 3) have an edge. ClawBox lets you use both: local models for privacy/offline, and optionally cloud APIs for tasks that need maximum capability.
